What is Your Brand?

Why did I task you to create a mission and vision statement? What is the purpose of this exercise? The purpose of creating a mission and vision statement is to give yourself the opportunity to look inside and determine what it is that you stand for, what you want to accomplish in this world and how your are going to get there. So many people ask themselves and the universe “What is the point of all of this?” “What is my role?” and “Why am I here?” The mission and vision statement get to the heart of this. What is your mission in life? How do you see yourself getting there? Who do you want to be today, tomorrow, six months from now and six years from now? Without purpose, we are all just moving around this planet hoping, dreaming and wishing that it will all make itself clear. Life is not something that just happens to you, you make it happen.

Your mission and vision statement are not only meant be internally reflective but it is also meant for you to create a brand, meaning how you want the outside world to see you. By being your own brand you are becoming a commodity but in a good sense. You are saying to the world; “I have worth, I have purpose, and I have value.”  It is one thing to see yourself in the light that you do, it is another to share that light with the world. There is only one you and there only every be one you. Make that you the best you that you can be and don’t be selfish. Share your mission and vision with the world and ask the world to join you on your path.  Life was not meant to be spent alone, it was meant to be spent with those you love, care about and respect.  Show the world that your name is worth knowing  and that their lives will only improve through your presence.

I encourage all of you to create a brand that you are proud of and want to share with the world. A brand that makes the world a better place, makes people’s lives better and makes your life better. Know you are worth all the effort you put into yourself and you will only benefit from this positive energy. Check all the bad energy at the door. There is no room in successful brands for negative speak, thought or action. Create a life where every day you are becoming a better version of yourself. Know that who you are and what you have are enough and are worth sharing with the world.
