This Mondays with Mooney will be brief and to the point. Memorial Day is a U.S. National holiday that commemorates the brave men and women who gave their lives so that America could be the country that is was destined to be. On this day we honor those who knew their purpose in life and in the face of fear, stood strong, stood together, and fought for what they believed in. The brave men and women in the armed forces are given little recognition for the sacrifices they make for the benefit of the many. They do their job because they believe in the cause and not for the accolades. They train, prepare, and fight in the hopes of making the world a better place. They die knowing they have given life their all and lived a life that was worth dying for.
On this Memorial Day and for the days that follow, I encourage you to find what it is in life that you are willing to die for. Find what in life gives your purpose and meaning. Listen to the call of what your inner voice and hear what it is saying and guiding you towards. Are you living a life that is moving towards making the world a better place? Are you living a life that is for the good of the many? Are you living a life of service? What actions can you take today and going forward that will make this world a better place?
A special thanks to all the men and women in the armed forces who give it their all everyday and make this world a better place for all of us.
